How we make money
The plain-English version of our advertising disclosure.
The short version
AlaskaLoan is a free editorial site. Some links on our comparison pages are affiliate links: if you click one and later get a loan from that lender, the lender (or its affiliate network) may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing — you pay the same price you would going to the lender directly.
What that means in practice
- Affiliate links appear mainly on comparison ("best of") pages, and every page that contains them carries a disclosure notice at the top.
- All affiliate links are marked with
rel="sponsored nofollow"so search engines treat them as advertising. - When you click an affiliate link, you leave AlaskaLoan and deal directly with the lender. We never see your application, your credit information, or your identity.
- Commissions never affect rankings, evaluations, or what we choose to cover. Editorial decisions are made independently — see our editorial policy.
What we don't do
- We are not a lender, mortgage broker, or loan originator.
- We do not generate leads: we never collect or transmit loan applications, income, credit, or loan-amount information. Alaska treats mortgage lead generation as a licensed activity, and this site is deliberately built so that no borrower data is ever collected.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, and we never publish payday-loan offers.
The only form on this site
The single form on AlaskaLoan is the newsletter signup. It asks for your email address and nothing else, and records the date of your consent. Unsubscribe anytime.
